Golf Business Technology (GBT) today announced that the Golf Business Technology Conference (GBTC2027) will take place in Belfast from May 4-6, 2027, with the conference moving to a new home at the historic Titanic Hotel Belfast in the city’s Titanic Quarter.
The hotel occupies the restored former headquarters and drawing offices of Harland & Wolff, the shipbuilders whose designers drew up plans for RMS Titanic and her sister ships more than a century ago. Many of the building’s original features have been preserved, including its celebrated Drawing Office, one of Belfast’s most striking interiors.
“We’ve always wanted GBTC to feel like more than a conference,” said Aboo Tayub, CEO of Golf Business Technology. “Belfast has a proud history of engineering and innovation, and bringing the golf industry’s technology conversation into the rooms where one of the most ambitious engineering projects of its age was designed feels exactly right. I believe it will make GBTC2027 our most memorable edition yet.”
After a year away, the GBTC Golf Day returns to Royal Belfast Golf Club. Founded in 1881, Royal Belfast is the oldest golf club in Ireland, with a course set on the shores of Belfast Lough at Craigavad, a short drive from the city.
The Golf Day has long been one of the most popular elements of the GBTC programme, giving delegates, speakers and partners the chance to continue the conversations of the conference out on the course.
“Royal Belfast is a special place, and our community has a real affection for it,” said Tayub. “We’re delighted to be going back.”
