Motocaddy’s Biggest Ever Remote Control Rental Fleet Underlines Global Demand

July 24, 2026;

Motocaddy, the world’s leading electric trolley brand, has strengthened its position as the preferred rental partner for golf clubs around the world with its biggest ever remote-control rental fleet as part of its expanding global rental programme. The record order of 60 award-winning M7 GPS REMOTE electric trolleys for Woodmont Country Club in the US highlights the increasing demand from premium clubs seeking to enhance the golfer experience while improving operational efficiency.

The latest installation follows growing adoption of Motocaddy rental fleets across the UK & Ireland, continental Europe, Australia, North America and beyond. More than 1,000 clubs and resorts worldwide have now placed their trust in Motocaddy, including many of golf’s most prestigious venues such as Royal County Down, Gleneagles, Royal Cinque Ports, Royal Liverpool, Royal Troon, Royal Porthcawl, New South Wales, Ballybunion and Lahinch.

Woodmont Country Club, located just outside Washington DC, selected the M7 GPS REMOTE following an extensive evaluation process involving members and club staff to identify the most complete electric trolley rental solution available. The investment ensures the club can continue to deliver exceptional service while enhancing the walking experience for members and guests.

“We always strive to offer our members and their guests the best possible experience, and it was clear after our thorough research that Motocaddy could meet these demands,” said Grant Strawoet, PGA Head Golf Professional at Woodmont Country Club. “Reliability ranked as a top priority when selecting the rental fleet. Because the units would be in daily use, we needed a workhorse platform known for durability, performance and consistent uptime,” he added.

The high-tech M7 GPS REMOTE fleet has proved an immediate success from both product and operational perspectives, with the club citing advanced GPS functionality and comprehensive after-sales support as key reasons for its decision.

“Equally important was partnering with a provider willing to collaborate on repairs, support and contingencies, while the GPS-enabled features emerged as a major selling point,” added Strawoet. “This investment adds a valuable club amenity that encourages more members to walk the course, while also contributing positively to the golf operation’s budget by improving efficiency and reducing maintenance costs over time.”

Commenting on the milestone, Oliver Churcher, Marketing Director at Motocaddy, said: “The delivery of our biggest ever remote control rental fleet reflects the continued growth of our global rental programme and reinforces the confidence that leading golf clubs place in Motocaddy products. High-end venues are increasingly recognising the value that our rental fleets can bring – not only by enhancing the on-course experience for members and visitors, but also by providing an attractive revenue stream for the club.”
