Golf Resort in Castellón, Spain, to be Auctioned with €1.2m Starting Price

September 11, 2026;

The Insolvency Administration of Avanza Golf Panorámica, S.L., appointed in the proceedings before Commercial Court No. 1 of Castellón de la Plana, has launched the public auction of the company’s golf complex in Sant Jordi, Castellón, with a starting price of €1.2 million.

The transaction has been structured as a “going concern” sale so that the facilities can continue operating as normal. The resort remains open for sports and dining services, serving approximately 250 active members and providing for the mandatory transfer of employment for its 14 employees.

SURUS has been appointed as strategic partner for the sale due to its experience in auctioning complex production units and its ability to attract investors in strategic markets. Bids will be submitted through the Escrapalia portal, giving golf operators, hotel groups and investment firms access to a transparent, competitive process, with bids scheduled to close on December 15, 2026.

The production unit is being offered as a single, indivisible lot that includes all assets required to maintain operations, combining sports infrastructure, water management systems, clubhouse and dining facilities, and the maintenance resources needed to support day-to-day activity.

At the centre of the resort is an 18-hole, par-72 golf course designed by Bernhard Langer, covering 900,818 actual square metres and 865,025 cadastral square metres of urban land. The course is certified for European Tour and Ladies European Tour tournaments and includes a Pitch & Putt area and practice facilities.

The resort also benefits from an automated irrigation network supplied by seven interconnected lakes with an official water concession, supporting the ongoing maintenance of the course and wider grounds.

The clubhouse comprises a 1,200-square-metre Mediterranean-style building with reception, locker rooms, pro shop, management offices and El Olivo Restaurant, which includes a dining room, commercial kitchen, bar, grill and outdoor terrace.

Operational support is provided by 500 square metres of maintenance warehouses and a fleet of specialised machinery used in the resort’s day-to-day activity.

The asset will be transferred on an “as-is/where-is” basis, in its current technical, legal and physical condition. For golf operators, sports management companies and investment groups, the process offers the opportunity to acquire a fully operational infrastructure without the risks and timelines associated with new development.

To preserve operational confidentiality and ensure the integrity of the sale, the auction process is organised in structured phases that allow interested parties to review public information, complete the mandatory documentation, qualify to bid and participate in the live online auction.

Interested parties can first review the public information available on the lot and the dedicated landing page, including details of the auction process, photographs, video and a virtual tour.

After signing the mandatory NDA, they receive access to the complete digital data room, including annual financial statements, technical audits, employee roster, inventories and contracts, and may coordinate on-site technical inspections.

To participate in the online auction, bidders must transfer a €65,000 security deposit, equivalent to five per cent of the starting price and fully refundable for unsuccessful bidders.
